You mean to tell you are gonna give Red Dead a miss, solely based on someone else telling you the gameplay is like GTA 4? You mean are not not gonna play it for yourself and make your own judgement? I see thats all it takes for someone else to tell you what to do, and tell you what to buy. Its that easy to make you something I see.
I dont know why, but I don't somehow believe those stupid sub-HD rumors as there is no official statement that says so. I aint just gonna believe those possibly doctored comparison shots and plus no gaming website has said anything bad about the PS3 version. I'm getting the PS3 version of Red Dead tomorrow and I'll see for myself.
I said concrete evidence, like an official statement or quote from Rockstar saying that the PS3 version of Red Dead Redemption is sub-HD in 640p. Thats what I wanna see. I asked for that kind of evidence. I don't want your personal opinions or online screen comparison shots that are not to be totally trusted. I'm getting it for the PS3 as thats all I own. I said I'm gonna see for myself when I buy the game and plus I've read most reviews of Red Dead and not ONE of them said anything bad about the Ps3 version. And this so-called analysis of the PS3 version being sub-HD is bull. Why should I believe a bunch of geeks on a games forum that spend the days of their lives counting pixels? If it says 720p on the back of game's box that means it 720p. End of.
I would'nt totally trust those screen comparisons. I'd fine for myself if I were you, because I have read a good number of reviews and not one has said anything bad about the PS3 version.
And I have not seen them say any real bad thing about it like all these other Sony-haters are. Neither has IGN. Something is very strange here.

It's funny reading all these silly comments regarding the PS3 version. If it looked so bad, I'm sure I'd have heard about it by now. I've followed all the PS3 reviews for this game so far on IGN and others and I have not yet read or heard of any kind of bad reports regarding the PS3 version of Red Dead Redemption. I don't trust these comparision screens because, a) they could be set up by biased fanboys to make one version seem better than the other, or b) the TV settings ...
In the past few days I've been seeing many articles pop up on gaming websites about a new GTA title being announced by Rockstar at the upcoming E3. I know there is always a great deal of speculation regarding any new GTA game. I totally agree, do not fix what is not broken. Too many times people don't understand this and they ruin things in the end. I think the PS2 and PS3 controller is near perfect, it works totally fine, there is no need to change anything.
Well my friend, if you don't like GTA-style games, then there is one thing you know you can do - DON'T BUY THOSE KIND OF GAMES. If you don't like, you don't buy it's that simple. You can always keep buying first-person shooters or survival horrors, you do have a choice you know.

I certainly do not feel the same way as you. There are many excellent Western films around and I loved watching them, stuff like The Wild Bunch, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Unforgiven, Young Guns 1 & 2 etc. As for the Western genre in games, they are very enjoyable and fun to play when done right.
